Hi, this Tuesday I’m doing First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday, hosted by Bibliophile By the Sea. Basically, you share the first paragraph of a book that you are currently reading, or have read, and that’s all there is to it!
The First Paragraph:
“I’ve been locked up for 264 days.”
I know that this doesn’t tell you a whole lot about the book, given that it is one very short sentence, so the link to the first chapter (which is actually pretty short as well) is here.
But in case you’re not planning on reading the first chapter I might as well break the rules and put another paragraph here anyways…
“I have nothing but a small notebook and a broken pen and the numbers in my head to keep me company. 1 window.4 walls. 144 square feet of space. 26 letters in an alphabet I haven’t spoken in 264 days of isolation.”
There, that’s a slightly larger paragraph. I can’t wait to write a review on this novel, it’s great so far, and features a very unique style of writing. Thanks for reading this small snippet of writing!
