Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Hello everyone, Happy New Year! I don’t normally write movie reviews, but let’s make an exception and talk about…Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I saw this highly anticipated film a few months ago, along with some fellow J.K. Rowling fanatics, and I had been so excited.

A few viewers are unsatisfied with the film because it simply ‘ is not Harry Potter’; this is understandable, because after reading eight novels based on this certain character, we do tend to get quite attached (haha).  Personally, I found all the new characters very likable, plus, some of the ‘fantastic beasts’, were quite adorable.

Again, although it isn’t Harry Potter, there are many Easter eggs hidden throughout the movie, as well as a couple references to Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts, and The Ministry of Magic. Thankfully, the film received the same rating as Deathly Hallows Part One (7.7/10) on IMDb, so a sequel is expected in the near future. Overall, I absolutely loved it and am delighted that they made this spin off movie!

Please comment with your opinion on the film!

  1. Firstly, I just wanted to say thanks for visiting my blog! I’ve followed yours – it’s gorgeous.

Secondly, this film was just epic! And the ending when (SPOILER) they discovered Grindelwald was mind-blowing.

I hear there’s another film to follow? 🙂

  2. I loved the movie. While it was difficult to imagine a Wizarding World without the Golden Trio, this movie introduced quite a few more who are equally as lovable. It puts quite a new perspective of the Wizarding World now that we are seeing it from a more “mature” point of view
